Ad-Aware SE Enterprise Edition 2005 offers a centrally managed, robust anti-spyware
solution for the corporate environment, providing the IT administrator with the
possibility to centrally combat spyware in an environment where the lack of
security consciousness might be an issue.
Ad-Aware SE Enterprise Edition has two major components: the anti-spyware
program Ad-Aware SE Professional Edition running on network clients, and the
central management tool Ad-Axis for managing the clients.
The Ad-Axis Management Console allows the IT administrator to
- View all registered and active clients
- View which machines are executing Ad-Aware
- Update client software using .msi files and Windows Group policies
- Update definition files on the client computers
- Monitor the reference file version on the clients
- Monitor the malware detection logs from previous Ad-Aware executions
- Monitor the Ad-Axis Server status
- Scan one or more clients over the network
- Specify notifications for events such as reference file updates and
network scans
The Ad-Aware SE Professional Edition
- Scans fixed and removable drives, memory and Windows registry
- Protects against aggressive adware, browser hijackers, data miners,
dialers, DLL injection, keyloggers, selected Trojans, tracking cookies and
many more types of malicious content
- Blocks registry modifications and malware installation attempts in real
time
- Detects not only known but also unknown variants of malware by using the
Code Sequence Identification (CSI) technology
- Allows the user to terminate running processes via the Process-Watch
viewer
- Allows automatic reference file updates
- Has a fully featured quarantine support
- Is customizable including scan scheduling and updating the reference file
- Logs information about scans and malicious content removals
